A beautiful, water-clear, gem, watermelon tourmaline thumbnail from the famous Santa Rosa Mine. The rose-pink core is surrounded by pretty light green. The bit of internal crazing adds character. A bit of termination edgewear is noted, but is certainly a modest detraction. Classic older material from this noted locale. Ex Will Henderson Collection, a well-known, longtime mineral author and collector. He was formerly a columnist for the Mineralogical Record. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! The crystal is just so gemmy!
