A gorgeous, gem, 1.8 cm, twinned, cherry-red sphalerite crystal is very aesthetically attached to the the sparkly, drusy quartz-covered, two-sided matrix crust on this very showy and excellent specimen from recent finds in Hunan Province, China. One end of the sphalerite is cleaved, but is a minor detraction. Very highly representative of the species and locale. These are some of the finest and gemmiet sphalerites in the world.
