Item Description
An old-time, bi-colored, gem elbaite dating to the 1960s or 70s from the famous Cruziero Mine. The form of the parallel-growth crystals is outstanding. The lower 60% of the large crystal and the entire small crystal are water-clear gem and is a a beautiful blue-green, even thought it looks bottle-green under some lighting conditions. The upper portion of the large crystal is gemmy/translucent lighter blue-green with a crackly interior and has a yellow-green, pyramidal termination. Complete all-around and pristine, except for the one clean repair 2.0 cm below the tip of the large crystal. Classics like this are hard to find today, except from older recycled advanced collections. Ex Richard Hauck Collection. 20 grams mass. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!! Valued $1500-ish
