Item Description

An old-time, bi-colored, gem elbaite dating to the 1960s or 70s from the famous Cruziero Mine. The form of the parallel-growth crystals is outstanding. The lower 60% of the large crystal and the entire small crystal are water-clear gem and is a a beautiful blue-green, even thought it looks bottle-green under some lighting conditions. The upper portion of the large crystal is gemmy/translucent lighter blue-green with a crackly interior and has a yellow-green, pyramidal termination. Complete all-around and pristine, except for the one clean repair 2.0 cm below the tip of the large crystal.
