An exceptionally rare tourmaline "pencil" of gem quality from the Little Three Mine, which while known for garnet is NOT really known for producing good tourmalines. This is considered an unbelieveably gemmy and fine thumbnail example! There is a fine bottle-green color and brightness to the crystal that is not conveyed well in the photos. Ex Chuck Houser Collection, a noted San Diego County pegmatite collector. 5.23 carats or just over a gram.
