Item Description
A gem single crystal, 10.2 grams, from the famous early 2000s finds at the Pederneira Mine in Minas Gerais. When Jack bought it, and gave me to sell, we realized there are three very very thin, hariline, clean repairs to it ner the base - but they are hard to see and feel. It is still an excellent representation of the gem specimens that came out in that era and has a fabulous sharp termination. We are honored to present another lot of deaccessions to auction from the collection of Jack Halpern of San Francisco, as featured in the Mineralogical Record, March 2005.
