Item Description
A classic, steeply terminated, blue-green gem tourmaline thumbnail from the famous early 1970s finds at this renowned pegmatite. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. A bit of attached lepidolite is noted at the tip along with a trivial amount of chatter on a termination edge. The gemminess, blue-green color and steep termination make this a desirable Maine classic. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 7207. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). Mass is 5.77 carats including the number.
