A glorious 3.7 cm gem topaz crystal is dramatically set in marble and country rock matrix on this outstanding small cabinet from Katlang. The stunning crystal is a gorgeous rich cognac water-clear gem. The highly modified pyramidal termination has frosted and striking parallel etched faces. You can see how gemmy the crystal is from the sides, as the very few narrow vertical veils obscure the frontal view. The crystal is pristine, except for the bit of bruising at the broken base, where you can see the impression of the topaz in the marble. The marble fluoresces modest pink. A super small cabinet, that displays dramatically without aid. Very choice material from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Very little new material has come from the Mardan District in the last 10 years. Valued at $4000 and worth it.
