A 1.7 cm, gorgeous gem, rich cognac-colored topaz crystal is dramatically set atop the albite and quartz matrix on this classic and excellent topaz from Katlang. The crystal has an unusual modified/etched chisel termination and a smaller topaz, that adds interest and character. This limpid gem is nearly pristine, with only the most trivial of barely noticeable bruising. Choice material from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Very little new material has come from the Mardan District in the last few years. Valued at $800-1000. The piece displays well without aid from both sides.
