Titanite crystals of this fine quality are uncommon and are highly sought-after from all of the Alpine localities in Switzerland, France and Austria. A beautiful, 1.2 cm, gem, twinned, lime-green, titanite crystal is aesthetically set on the gneiss matrix amongst rich stringers of glassy adularia crystals. Classic and excellent combination material from the Ziller Valley and the Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection. Acquired in Zurich in 1978 for 180 Swiss francs.
