Outstanding, impressive large gem triphane (yellow-green) spodumene from the famous deposits at Pech. The striking, blocky, tabular, water-clear crystal has pretty yellow-green color and is crowned by a highly unusual complex termination that is a lighter yellow-green to near colorless. Two of the four waxy luster prism faces are smooth with the other two being striated. The C-axis view of the base highlights the rich yellow-green color of the gem crystal. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine. The contact lower on one side, where another crystal once, has rehealed with a trivial bit of bruising. Certainly only a modest detraction. Rich orange LW UV fluorescence. 498 grams or 1.1 pounds mass. Classic and excellent large gem triphane spodumene with an unusual lighter colored termination from Pech.
