Item Description

As you can tell from the auctions of deaccessions from the Meieran Collection, Gene really loves kunzites and acquired many over 40 years of collecting, of various forms and shapes. At 130 grams, this is literally a gem single, with perfect terminations of unusual quality! This has strong color when lit on the long, c-axis as shown in our photo, using a strong light underneath - which you can compare to a more typical LED light used in the video. It is notable for the sharpness combined with the transparency, which in some ways reduces color saturation due to not having as much refraction of light within, as more included crystals. It does glow with a light under it, but in person is more of a medium pink tone compared to the thicker, more veiled crystal also in this auction set.
