Item Description

A glorious, beautiful mint-green, gem, triangular, sail-shaped spodumene crystal from this well-known Minas Gerais pegmatite area, famous for such spodumene specimens and other pegamtite species. Most of the supremely glassy, limpid crystal has typically etched faces, which add much pizzazz. BUT, the unetched prism faces show the startling gemminess of this crystal. The ends highlight the gorgeous rich green color saturation of the crystal. Every turn presents a dramatically different aspect to this superb and pristine example. Yellow and green spodumene crystals were formerly called Triphane, but this name is now best avoided (MINDAT). 97 grams mass.
