Item Description
An excellent combination plate with very gemmy, golden-yellow, twinned sphalerite crystals, iridescent, brassy chalcopyrite crystals and a scattering of fortification to hoppered galena crystals from the small find a few years ago at the famous Commodore Mine at Creede, Colorado. MANY of the splendent, black-looking sphalerite crystals, are, in fact, partially gemmy. The largest gemmy sphalerite crystal is 1.7 cm. The back of the plate is sparkly sphalerite microcrystals. These caused a major stir at the Tucson Show, when they came out around 2001. This is an OUTSTANDING specimen from this find and here is your chance to get a really good one, if you missed out. Ex Wes Parker Collection. Valued at $750.
