Beautiful small cabinet trident of gem smoky quartz crystals from this classic locale at Chamonix. The striking, very glassy water-clear crystals have rich and fine smoky color. Well-developed to subtle stepped-growth prism faces and that the trio of large crystals are sharp left-handed quartz crystals enhance this very aesthetic specimen. The dominating central prism is pristine with the two smaller crystals having only a modest bit of termination edge wear. Certainly only a minimal detraction to this sculptural piece. Ex Cook Collection. We feel very lucky to have picked up the large collection of Bill and Anne Cook of Cleveland, recently. It is a tribute to their long efforts, how many interesting minerals and old localities were preserved and carefully labelled so you can see them now. Bill and Anne collected for at least 60 years.
