Gem Smoky Quartz xl w/ Chlorite (Belsky Coll.)

Item Description

A fine, gem, water-clear, quartz crystal with light smoky color from an unknown Swiss locale. Very interestingly, sparkly, microcrystalline chlorite preferentially coats and etches only the termination faces. All of the prism faces are chlorite-free. This beautiful crystal is complete all-around. It looks like cut glass. One prism face has a large contact, where another crystal once lay. There is a small ding above it. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. A classic and fine specimen of this varietal from the well known suite amassed by Belsky as a dealer and collector before his untimely passing in 1987.
