Item Description
A gorgeous and RARE color pink gem elbaite tourmaline thumbnail from this well-known pegmatite. Rich pink color, exceptional glassiness and luster, well-striated prism faces and striking internal layers accentuate this beautiful limpid crystal. The termination is glass-clear and the outer raspberry color-zoning visible on the termination adds much pizzazz. Complete all-around and pristine, except for trivial termination bruising. A lower contact on the back, where another crystal once lay, has no damage, per se. Nearly all tourmalines form Urubu are green, making pink very rare and highly desirable. Mass is 55.54 carats or 11 grams. Valued at $1000 for rare color and quality.
