Item Description

An outrageouly beauitful red gem tourmaline from this famous pegmatite area of Minas Gerais. The upper section of this limpid crystal is a glorious orange-red grading down to an entrancing cranberry-red middle section. The grayish-blue basal section and the superb little lepidolite corage on the complex termination add real pizzazz to this superb cutie. 11 grams mass. Older material from the 1970s or 80s. Ex Pala International Company Collection and was long on the display at the Fallbrook store. Valued at $2500-3000.
