Item Description

At over three inches, this large Quartz crystal is studded with fine (less than 2 mm) Hematite blades from the alpine clefts of Switzerland. The Quartz crystal is completely gem -clean (limpid) and has a perfect termination. The crystal displays the usual horizontal striae on the prism faces along with a few unexpected crystal forms for added interest. The tiny Hematite crystals are sparsely distributed on only three of the six prism faces with none present on the pyramidal termination. The label indicates "mica" which some of the plates may be, however, they are indistinguishable from the Hematite. A lovely and interesting Swiss Quartz. Ex. Kay Robertson collection.
