Item Description

Itrongay refers to an area famous for yellow gemmy "orthoclase" (which actually are sanidine -see http://www.escholarship.org/uc/item/20f968sx). Quartz is VERY RARE from this locale. This impressive parallel-growth pair of water-clear gem quartz crystals have striking steep terminations. ONLY the prism faces on the back have a preferential coating of rust-red hematite, that gives the crystals the beautiful reddish tint. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only the most trivial of termination edge wear. A must for the locality or quartz collector. Value of such a rarity??? MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
