Gem pink Topaz on matrix (very rare)

Gem pink topaz matrix specimens are generally considered to be the rarest and most desirable of all mineral species from Pakistan. This is an outstanding and rare small cabinet from Katlang. A 1.8 cm, vivid pink, terminated gem crystal is dramatically set in a vug and the calcite and dark matrix are super accents. This amazing piece is from the small deposit at Katlang, which has produced the only topazes of such color from the Himalayas. Aesthetic specimens of this size and quality are extremely rare! These came out in the 1980s. The bit of noted bruising at the base of the topaz is barely noticeable and certainly only has very minimal impact to the superb quality of this matrix piece. Valued at $4000-6000.
