Gem Indicolite Tourmaline w/ Lepidolite

Two clusters of lavender lepidolite crystals at the base nicely accent this beautiful gem indicolite tourmaline from the famed Pednereira Mine. The limpid, very glassy, well-striated crystal has a classic teal-blue body below the 3 mm matte lustre teal-green termination. The flattened trigonal crystal is noteworthy, in that there is no layering in this impressive water-clear crystal. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. One edge is contacted, with no apparent damage and is out-of-sight in the primary display view. The one clean repair about half way down is certainly acceptable in the context of pegmatite species. This cute, excellent and classic indicolite and lepidolite combination small cabinet from the Pederneira is from the circa 2009-2010 finds. Mass is 8 grams. MUCH better in person!
