Gem indicolite Tourmaline (old classic)

Item Description

A fine, gemmy and lustrous, pretty teal-blue, indicolite tourmaline from the famous Santa Rosa Mine. This is a water-clear gem crystal with almost no internal crazing. Some of the glassy, striated faces are preferentially frosted/etched, which adds character. Gemmy, purple lepidolite crystals are embedded in the frosted, pinacoidal termination. Nearly pristine, the super-trivial edge wear near the termination is barely noticeable. Classic older, 1960s or 70s material from this noted locale. 8 grams.
