gem Indicolite Tourmaline floater

Item Description

Classic, fine gem large doubly terminated indicolite tourmaline from the Pederneira Mine. This limpid, glassy, well-striated trigonal beauty has rich teal-blue color and is nicely accented by the side car crystal at the base. The terminations are different. The primary termination with the 5 mm teal-green section has a lustrous modified pinacoidal termination with the other end being a matte frosted flat pinacoid. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, with only one clean repair and a 3 mm contact on one side, where another crystal once lay, but with no damage, per se. Certainly acceptable in context of pegmatite species. An excellent large DT gem indicolite from the circa 2010 finds at the famed locale. Mass is 17 grams. MUCH better in person!!
