A highly deceptive gem indicolite pencil tourmaline from Pech. The well-striated, lustrous, glassy crystal looks like an opaque schorl under most lighting, BUT when correctly backlit the gem crystal has beautiful teal-blue indicolite color with a striking olive-green section for its entire length. The trigonal crystal has an unusual frosted stepped pyramidal termination. Complete all-around and pristine, except for a trivial bruise on the lower termination. This is a cutter quality gem tourmaline crystal. 30 carats or 6 grams mass.
