Item Description
A classic, large, gem, bi-colored pencil indicolite tourmaline from circa 2010s finds at the renowned Pederneira Mine. The body of the water-clear, very glassy, highly lustrous, well-striated, partially layered trigonal crystal is a beautiful light indicolite blue. A 1.0 cm mint-green section caps the crystal with an interesting modified pinacoidal termination with a matte lustre finish. Tiny tourmalines on one side at the base are a nice accent. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. Technically doubly terminated, as the broken base is rehealed. The one clean repair one-third up the prism is certainly acceptable in the context of pegmatite species. A fine, large and desirable indicolite from this famous mine. 13 grams mass. Much better in person!
