Beautiful, sharp, water-clear, gem, lightly hematite-tinted calcite scalenohedrons are aesthetically scattered on the oxide matrix on this lovely old-timer from the famous iron mines of Egremont. All of the major vertical and horizontal crystals are pristine on this cutie. The crystals reach 2.3 cm and the piece displays very well from either side. A classic and excellent miniature from the Miller Calcite Collection # 937. The Millers were major calcite collectors from the 1960s to early 1990s, when they sold their collection.
