Item Description
Hambergite is a rare accessory mineral in gem pegmatites and is EXTREMELY RARE from the famous bi-colored tourmaline pegmatites at Stak Nala. Two, parallel-growth, gemmy crystals with beautiful symmetrical, orthorhombic form are exquisitely set against the termination of a classic, partially gemmy, doubly terminated, bi-colored tourmaline. The large crystal is 1.4 cm. The gemmy pink termination and colorless to light green secondary termination of the elbaite are hallmarks of Stak Nala pieces. The full cloak of nubby to bladed albite with protruding small gemmy tourmalines is a super accent. Complete all-around and pristine, this is possibly unique combination material from this noted locale. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this piece at $850, five or more years ago. Valued today at $1000-1250.
