Item Description
Magnificent, absolutely water-clear light yellow gypsum spearpoints richly and dramatically line a striking curved vug on this outstanding large sculptural specimen from Spain. The impressive large well-placed blade is 3.7 cm long. The sawed matrix is alabaster (massive fine-grained gypsum). Briefly abundant from 1985-1994, they are no longer available, except from recycled collections. They are considered to be some of the world's finest examples of the species in terms of quality. White fluorescence. A remarkable large and rich 270-degree specimen. A dealer label on the bottom of the piece has a $1500 price.
