Glorious, gem, cinnamon grossular garnets richly and aesthetically cover both sides of the slender crust on this very fine miniature example from the famous Jeffrey Mine. The sharp dodecahedrons have textbook striated faces. The beautifully placed large crystal is 9 mm. Interestingly, the smaller crystals on the back side are a lighter color. Unusual chemistry here. The front is pristine and the periphery wear on the back is out-of-sight. A classic and excellent two-sided grossular plate from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Valued at $500-700.
