Classic, beautiful, gem goshenite (colorless) beryl on muscovite matrix from this famous locale. Tabular beryl crystals are renowned from Mt Xuebaoding and this beautifully set 4.3 cm glassy, transparent crystal on the pearlescent muscovite plate matrix certainly fits the description. The impressive C-axis faces are water-clear and the strikingly modified A and B edges have typical waxy luster. This very fine example is complete all-around and nearly pristine. The small, out-of-sight contact on the inner edge by the muscovite has only trivial bruising. Classic and excellent gem goshenite beryl and muscovite from the Ted Bartels Collection.
