Item Description
These sharp, absolutely transparent Fluorite crystals, are perched on a cluster of ivory-colored Baryte crystals. The Fluorites are water-clear with a faint violet hue and possess sharp edges with bright cube faces and vary from a few centimeters up to 1.8 cm on edge. They are nicely isolated on the Baryte sheaves composed of satin lustered crystals from less than a centimeter up to 4 cm in maximum dimension. We do not need to say more because you can see it is simply beautiful - The Fluorites are so transparent that one can see the Baryte blades distinctly through the crystals. Ex. Jack Halpern collection. Interestingly, he obtained it long ago from his friend Dr. Steve Smale (Jack is now over 100 and Steve is now over 90, and both still live near each other in San Francisco), so it has labels and provenance from both of them. Jack obtained this from Steve back in the 1970s as both were seeking a drive towards perfect and beautiful treasures, and doing some exchanging. While a lot of material HAS admittedly come out of this locality, this is a special aesthetic and style.
