Item Description

An exotic and colorful mounded cluster of very glassy, gem, light purple fluorite cuboctahedrons with sharp beveled edges strikingly accented with beautiful preferential violet phantoms from the famous Shangbao Mine. The large crestal crystal is 3.5 cm across. An unusual piece from the mine. Violet phantoms are known, but this piece has uncommonly gemmy crystals. Older, uncommon material from the dolomite pockets at the end of 2008. It is illustrated in the MINDAT fluorite Photo Gallery for the mine with a 2009 photo.
