Item Description

Yellow-green fluorapatite crystals from Cerro de Mercado are a classic Mexico species and this is a very fine doubly terminated gem example. The sharply terminated, glassy, crystal has great form and color. It would make a worthwhile addition to a small gem crystal suite, a collection of Mexican minerals, or a suite of apatites. The textbook hexagonal crystal has a few internal veils, with cause the striking rainbow effects. Part of the lower termination and one side are dinged. This famouc locale is featured in the Mexico-VI issue of the Mineralogical Record. From the noted Mexico collection of Jason New. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
