Gem epidote and pericline specimens are rare from the Alpine-type deposits at Alchuri and this is a beautiful and striking combination example. A 3.2 cm, gem, olive-green epidote crystal with smaller crystals is aesthetically set amidst and flanked by textbook sharp, lustrous, white pericline crystals. Pericline is a relatively uncommon variety of albite and is rare from Alchuri. Textbook sharp, lustrous, white pericline crystals reach 2.5 cm and all of them have a secondary overgrowth or slight etching.
