A gorgeous, excellent and classic thumbnail emerald crystal from the famous mines of Colombia. The textbook hexagonal crystal has beautiful green color, glassiness and high luster. The upper 4 mm is water-clear, gem, with the rest of the crystal being gemmy/translucent. The bit of attached calcite is a nice accent. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with just a trivial bit of termination brusing. A very elegant emerald. 9.93 carats mass. Valued at $1500. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! The gemminess and glassiness made photography difficult.
