Item Description
A "gem pencil", this glassy and gemmy, well-striated, doubly-terminated, teal-blue, elbaite crystal is limpid. The gem mass is 13 grams. A simple, but elegant gem crystal! The upper termination is frosted, with a heliodor yellow section followed by a blue-green zone. The basal termination is frosted with a thin, pretty purple section below. This material came out in 2002-2003 and I sold this at the time (recently getting it back). Many crystals from this lot were simply sold as gem rough because it was easy money - I am almost embarrassed to say how many were cut out of the 50 piece lot I had at the time. This is a glowing, unrepaired, pristine, gem crystal and stands apart in quality from many murkier or less bright indicolites from the mine. Valued at $2000 and well worth it.
