An exquisite 2.3 cm gem, doubly terminated and twinned calcite crystal is aesthetically set on the matrix wedge covered with smaller calcites. This beauty looks faceted, it's so glassy and lustrous. Calcites of this superlative quality are rare from the Meikle gold mine, famous for outstanding barite specimens. The piece has two very fine display views and displays well without aid.
