Item Description

A gorgeous, gemmy, doubly terminated bastnesite crystal from recent finds at Zagi Mountain, Pakistan. The beautiful colors of the parallel-growth pair vary from rich golden-amber to yellow-green, depending on the light source. The crystal has textbook hexagonal form typical for this RARE cerium carbonate. These crystals have stellar intense color, gemminess, luster, and form. The primary crystal does have a bit of edge wear and the secondary crystal is dinged. Irregardless, this remains an excellent, highly representative and very gemmy example of this rare species. This find redefines what the average collector can get for the top of the species. The backlit photo highlights the incredibly rich golden-amber color and gemminess of this fine thumbnail.
