Item Description

An impressive large (19 grams mass), greenish-yellow, limpid, gem diaspore crystal with very high waxy luster and striated faces. This fine crystal comes from the historic mines of Turkey and are considered to be the finest examples of the species. Diapore is usually a boring rock-former. The crystal is partially terminated, with the right edge and back of the termination being dinged. Diaspore is the hot new gem material on the West Coast with the trade name Czarite. Excellent cutting rough. Valued at $1000 for quality and size.
