Item Description
The historic mines of Turkey are considered to have produced the finest examples of the species. This is a fine, well-formed limpid gem crystal with typical greenish-yellow color, very high waxy luster and striated faces and a half chisel termination. The other half of the termination is contacted, but there is no damage, per se. Diapore is usually a boring rock-former. Complete all-around and in great shape. You barely notice the bit of termination bruising and contacting along the edges. Diaspore is the hot new gem material on the West Coast with the trade name Czarite. Excellent cutting rough. 23.76 carats or over 4.5 grams mass.
