Item Description
A 1.08 carat, sharp, gemmy, dimpled cubic diamond crystal with satin lustre faces from an unknown South Africa mine. Ex Kay Robertson # 3416 and acquired in the mid-1960s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). A highly representative diamond with classic cubic form and nifty surface features. CUBIC diamonds of this clarity and adamantine luster are rare! Normally the cubes are murky and dull. valued $1000
