Natural yellow citrine quartz is very rare and is highly desirable from Diamantina, especially in the huge size and quality of this gem monster. The water-clear, sharp, pseudohexagonal crystal has pretty golden-amber color. The termination faces are preferentially water-clear or lightly frosted. There is obviously a lot of cutter-grade, gem citrine in this impressive large crystal. The striking backlit photos highlights the limpid gemminess, pretty color and preferenitally frosted termination faces. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. A contact runs down most of one side, but has trivial damage, overall. Older material from the Richard Hauck Quartz Collection. Comes with a custom-made lucite base valued at $100 as a free bonus.
