Celestine and minerals from the mercury deposits at Terlingua are some of the few species that Texas has produced in excellent crytallized examples. This fine gem thumbnail is from the well-known Central Texas locality of Bull Creek in Austin. The sharp, glassy and transparent, colorless to blue-gray blocky crystal has a nifty flat blue termination. A contact with embedded limestone is on the back of the crystal. Pieces of this quality are seldom on the market. Valued at $250 by the former dealer.
