THE PICS DO NOT DO THIS SPECIMEN JUSTICE! It was just very difficult to capture the JEWEL-like nature of this bright, intense, complex calcite crystal. Measuring 1.8 cm, with sharp, glassy faces, it is dramatically isolated at the end of the matrix shard. A very unusual locality for a unique calcite of this quality!
