Item Description

Calcites from the famous San Martin Mine of Zacatecas are a Mexican favorite and classic. Good specimens are highly desirable and are few and far between. Here is a very fine example. The gemmy, transparent, lightly striated, complex blocky rhomb is attached to a shard of matrix and displays very well. A couple of the sides are contacted, but have no damage, per se and only a very trivial bit of edgewear is noted. Very seldom available in this quality and form. Ex Dick Heck Collection.
