Item Description

Two, striking, absolutely limpid, colorless calcite rhombs are attached to a thin calcite crust on this beautiful miniature from the famous Nchwaning II Mine. The blocky rhombs have some very nifty modified edges. The large rhomb has some noticeable edge wear and the corner above the smaller rhomb is gently cleaved, when viewed from one side, we need to note. Otherwise, this is a fine 360-degree calcite and the damage can certainly be minimized, depending on the display view. A classic and desirable calcite varietal from this noted locale. An excellent example of optical-quality crystallized calcite. Ex Charlie Key dealer stock.
