Item Description

A beautiful, rare, gem, bi-colored pencil tourmaline from Nepal's remote pegmatite deposits. The very glassy, lustrous, water-clear parallel-growth body of the three crystals is a pleasing pink. The crystals have gem apple-green terminations, including the tiny side car crystal. The coloration is not what you could call intense, but it is a pretty combination of pastel hues. Few specimens come to the market, they trickle out over the years, most from old stashes. Nepal tourmalines are RARE on the market compared to those from Pakistan or Afghanistan. Most were recovered in the 1950s and 60s. 6.29 carats mass. A very fine pristine thumbnail.
