Item Description
A beautiful, gem, bi-colored trigonal tourmaline crystal from this obscure pegmatite. The glassy body is a pretty grass-green with a yellow-green pyramidal termination. Complete all-around, with just a small contact at the base. In the late 1990s, Gene Meieran and Wayne Thompson financed mining of a small pit later known as the "Chia Mine" which produced only a handful of tourmalines for the work. This cute pencil would make a fine jewelry pendant. 6.49 carats or over a gram in mass. Seldom on the market.
