Item Description

A gorgeous, ultra gemmy and lustrous, bi-colored tourmaline from the famous Himalaya Mine. This unusually shaped gem has a classic center section of "Himalaya pink", but with an unusual swirl-like pattern. The water-clear lower section is olive-green and includes a gem nodule. Below the frosted/etched termination is a super-thin purple zone followed by beautiful apple-green and teal-blue. Trivial termination edgewear is noted. This very fine, old-timer is definitely gemmier than most bi-colored tourmalines you see from the Himalaya. Ex Hubert de Monmonier & University of Arizona Museum Collections. 15 grams.
