Item Description
The famous pegmatites at Virgem da Lapa produced a striking NEW find of tourmalines around Christmas, 2009. The body of the gemmy and lustrous, flattened crystal is a pleasing bottle-green with striking, contrasting, teal-blue zones. The lustrous, complex pyramidal termination is opaque super dark green. Complete all-around pristine, except the accenting side car is chipped on the side and contacted on the back, but is certainly a very modest detraction. A beautiful, highly representative tourmaline from the recent find. 6 grams.
